In 8 years, Bridge has grown to a team of more than 50 people from nearly 25 nationalities, with headquarters in Madrid, where most of our team is based; an emerging LatAm HQ in Guatemala, with a few team members; and a few people based in different places around the world.

JOB MISSION

As Bridge for Billions’ Monitoring & Evaluation Intern, you’ll help collect, process, and analyze data from all our programs. Your work will directly support our M&E Lead and help ensure that the data we collect is accurate and useful for improving our programs and sharing insights with our team and partners.


MAIN CONTRIBUTIONS

Data Collection and Processing (40% of time)

  • Help collect data from different programs for up to a year after they finish.
  • Assist the M&E Lead in using data collection tools and systems.
  • Make sure the data is clean and processed correctly.
  • Work with program teams to gather all the necessary data.

 Data Analysis and Insights (35% of time)

  • Analyze the data and help create insights that can be used for reports and evaluations.
  • Visualize data that helps people understand the data better.
  • Work with the M&E team to write impact reports.
  • Support teams like sales, marketing, and operations with data insights.

 Program Support and Follow-up (25% of time)


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Hard Skills we look for in this particular role: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, or a related area.
  • Languages: You should be fluent in English and in Spanish.
  • Experience: You’ve worked with data before (even in school) and know how to analyze it and make sense of it.
  • Tools: You’re familiar with Google Sheets and maybe SQL or data tools like PowerBI.
  • Knowledge: You have some understanding of data collection, cleaning, and analysis methods. You may have heard of M&E tools like surveys or impact measurements.
  • Additional: 
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage data with high accuracy.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and stakeholder interaction.

Soft Skills:

  • Analytical thinking: Ability to draw insights from data and present them clearly.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaboration: You enjoy working with others and sharing ideas.
  • Problem-solving: You’re flexible and can find solutions when things go wrong.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

  2. Initial Chat: A brief  30-45 minute conversation to discuss your interest and understand the role.
  3. Business Case: You'll receive a challenge to complete within a set time frame.
  4. Technical Interview: If your challenge is satisfactory, we'll discuss it further and assess your technical skills.
  5. Mutual Interview: An open discussion where you can ask us any questions to ensure our company is the right fit for you.
  6. References: With your consent, we'll contact two of your references for feedback.
  7. Offer: If all goes well, you'll receive a job offer from us.

OFFER AND LOCATION

Transparent salaries and fair compensation structure, mid-range for the social sector:

  • Internship stipend of 700 EUR/month.
  • Duration: 6 months (with the possibility to move to full-timer after the internship). 
  • Location: Madrid, Spain 
  • Start date: As soon as we find the right person.
  • Type of contract: Full time - Internship
  • Vacation Days: 6 days.
