Bridge for Billions, recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30, Ashoka, and Acumen, has worked with more than 100 organizations such as Coca-Cola, Novartis, VISA, and institutions such as the United Nations or IDB Lab in the development of large-scale entrepreneurship programs. In 8 years, Bridge has grown to a team of more than 60 people from nearly 20 nationalities, with headquarters in Madrid, where most of our team is based; an emerging LatAm HQ in Antigua, Guatemala, with a few team members; and a few people based in different places around the world.


JOB MISSION

Bridge for Billions People and Operations Intern is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of people operations,¡. This crucial role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong multitasking abilities, the capacity to prioritize effectively, and the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will contribute directly to the operational success of the organization while supporting our mission-driven work

MAIN CONTRIBUTIONS

  1. People Administration (40%)
  • Maintain and update employee records in internal databases (ERP, Google Drive) regarding hires, terminations, and other changes.
  • Support the RLP process for the SL employees, including keeping the database, organizing annual medical check-up appointments and supporting completion of mandatory training programs.
  • Communicate with our external payroll and administration service regarding new hires, medical leaves, and departures.
  • Support communication with universities and other external parties to provide the adequate documentation of new interns. 
  • Support updating our Internal Information System. 
  • Manage and keep updated our employee contracts via our ERP system and ensure proper storage in the system.

2. People Operations Processes (25%)

  • Support sourcing new candidates and reviewing applications. 
  • Support and conduct talent acquisition initial interviews to ensure a smooth hiring experience.
  • Assist in scheduling interviews across different stages of the recruitment process.

3. Hiring Support (15%)

  • Maintain and update the onboarding agenda, ensuring that new hires have a structured and engaging start.
  • Book onboarding sessions and ensure proper communication with new hires through internal channels. 
  • Share onboarding updates and announcements via internal communication channels.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Hard Skills we look for in this particular role: 

  • Language Proficiency: An advanced level of professional English and Spanish is essential for this role, as clear and effective communication is key in our global, diverse team.
  • HR & People Operations: knowledge and interest in HR, employee lifecycle management, and administrative HR functions.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy and precision in administrative and data-related tasks.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Multitasking & Prioritization: Ability to handle various responsibilities and prioritize effectively.
  • Tech-Savviness: Familiarity with Google Workspace tools is needed. 
  • Problem Solving & Initiative: Proactive mindset to identify and address challenges efficiently.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

  2. Initial Chat: A brief  30-45 minute conversation to discuss your interest and understand the role.
  3. Business Case: You'll receive a challenge to complete within a set time frame.
  4. Technical Interview: If your challenge is satisfactory, we'll discuss it further and assess your technical skills.
  5. Mutual Interview: An open discussion where you can ask us any questions to ensure our company is the right fit for you.
  6. References: With your consent, we'll contact two of your references for feedback.
  7. Offer: If all goes well, you'll receive a job offer from us.

OFFER AND LOCATION

Transparent salaries and fair compensation structure, mid-range for the social sector:

  • Internship stipend of 700 EUR/month.
  • Duration: 6 months.
  • Location: Madrid, Spain 
  • Start date: As soon as we find the right person.
  • Type of contract: Full time or part time Internship (depending of candidate situation)
  • Vacation Days: 6 days.
